Lux 5µm Cellulose-1 Chiral Column 250 x 4.6 mm
Lux™ Cellulose-1 uses the chiral selector cellulose tris(3,5-dimethylphenylcarbamate). Lux™ Cellulose-1 not only is your cost-effective alternative to CHIRALCEL® OD-H®, but it also can provide greater resolution for many applications, This derivative of cellulose has a well established history of broad enantioselectivity. The substitution of the electron donating methyl groups at the 3 and 5 position enhance the activity of the phenyl group. This leads to enhanced enantioselectivity for aromatic and conjugated compounds.
Important Features
- Electronegative atoms, such as oxygen and nitrogen, are responsible for hydrogen bonding.
- Phenyl rings contribute to p-p interactions.
- Cellulose backbones form linear chains, creating various Groove and cavities which provide steric interactions.
